The Islamic Society at the University of Essex is holding its Sixth Conference at the Ivor Crewe lecture halls on Saturday 18th February 2012. The theme this year is ‘Religion: Enriching Our Life, Guarding Our Destiny’.
The Society is committed to encouraging a positive dialogue between religious communities and improving understanding about Islam in the wider community.
As always, the aim of this conference is to help bridge the gap between different faiths and communities, provide a true picture about the different aspects of Islam and dispel any misconceptions and misinformation about this great religion.
We have an interesting programme and a line-up of prominent and world-renowned speakers from the UK and abroad addressing the conference. There will also be a discussion session towards the end of the conference where the delegates will have the opportunity to direct their questions and inquiries to the speakers.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor Nigel South will inaugurate the conference with the presence of the councillor Helen Chuah. Please register for free using our Online Registration Form. Registration is FREE of CHARGE and refreshments will be available.
We look forward to seeing you on February 18 at the conference.
